Yeah this is a really crucial point that a lot of Americans, and a lot of Jews, genuinely do not understand: the vast majority of the world understands Palestine to be a colonial issue because it is a colonial issue.

Apparently, the Administration believes Venezuela is the same as Syria, and Maduro is unpopular and will flee, or else it is Panama, and they can simply walk in and kidnap the president. Everything the U.S. has done thus far fits one of these imperialist templates.

A lot of what people imagine politically for this country can't actually happen under the current Democratic party. That's something that I don't see lots of people actually reckoning with. There is no way to do most of the things that some people want to do through the Democratic party.

Strategies might differ in different places, but folks have to understand that people have fought to get universal health care, end wars and Zionism, win meaningful police reform, etc. even in blue cities and Dem-controlled places like California for a VERY long time and virtually never succeeded.🤔
