I am hopeful that things change, but the societal climate doesn't give a positive reality. I used to, but currently, I do not recommend people seeking calls to any synod in PA.

I saw the movement from BIPOC involvement as nonmonolithic to a more stereotypical expectation within the area. As racial tensions grew and change of leadership and their actions (ie. the current bishop relations with seminary)created a chasm.

Last election was a statement against the current bp, an evaluation of their first term. Although #1 placed 2 last time, it was more of a statement hoping the 2nd term would change.

All information is rushed. I do not think that area is serious about equality. The current bishop says the right things but actions are vexing.
