I also looked through a lot of ww2 / korea and Vietnam war photography to fit the Dieselpunk tone and have some weapon input
And also som games and anime Armor Hunter Mellowlink, Jin-Roh and Wolfenstein for the exoskeletons and armor

Exploring some Dieselpunk these days.
I’m trying to get more into drawing greasy machines and imaginary guns since I feel like this fits very well to the inky drawing style I use.
Im probably going to look into Dieselpunk aircrafts next

Im currently on an inspiration dive in Byzantine aesthetics. I wanted to check if the halo can be mixed with some runic styled circle text as a way to implement the characters names in illustrations like that.
Does look a bit too much like a Christian halo for sure but i like it somehow
