nevermind Apple added a native way to transfer music from other services

most important part before exporting to apple music:
go to settings > music > enable “add playlist songs” — otherwise they won’t end up in your library, but playlist only

then run the export, wait a bit… and boom, your whole library is there on apple music ✨

once that’s done, head to playlists.cloud and start the import — i had over 2k liked songs, so it took a bit, even after it said “done”

you first need to manually create a new playlist on spotify and dump all your liked songs in there — easiest done on desktop with cmd+a. haven’t found a good way to do this on mobile

decided to try new #AppleMusic automix with #iOS 26 beta, so had to migrate my liked songs from #Spotify over

no native way to do this (of course), but found a free third-party tool that worked perfectly:

nothing like designing smooth ui just to have it lag and stutter on your phone. truly the full work in progress experience

had to go through some iterations because the player profile was getting way too crowded — too much info, not enough breathing room

tried to balance ux — quickly checking key stats vs. having everything accessible on single screen. so far happy with where it’s going

working on a companion app for a football simulator!
