The video game industry decided to discontinue their product, the video game, in exchange for trying to make Fortnites. They have in recent years found out this doesn't work, so they have pivoted from making Fortnites to making ????????????????? nothing I guess

I did the key and packaging art for the physical/soundtrack releases of Demon Tides! It was a joy to work with the team, and so exciting to see what a jampacked thing the final game is 💖

I really didn't think it was possible for a drop to do this much, but I stand corrected. Shoutouts to everyone who has worked on this drop, I'm not only astounded to see a drop focusing on improvements/changes as opposed to solely new stuff, but to see all of THIS done in such a short timespan. gg

so yknow, if i hesitate on that ofc im also hesitant to play any of my 3ds games on my computer. cus even after effort of dumping roms (or otherwise) ... its like. idk, feels weird. this emulator is doing things to the code. its not exact. ship of theseus ass ocd lmao

like idk if anyone else has this reasoning but if i were to play even just. tmodloader terraria with 0 mods. itd feel much more wrong than playing vanilla
because there ARE slight differences in the underlying mechanisms. to get things to work. even if its officially approved essentially

...but alas for me playing on emulator just gives my OCD a little bit of a "but its not the original code on original hardware! its slightly modified!"

when it comes to Having a Big Backlog of games.. yea. i mean everyone has that problem on steam lmao. usually comes from buying a game just bc Why Not instead of when you really want to play it... in a period of proper excitement / novelty. but yknow what ive heard to get around The Backlog?

though, a debuff for clarity when a stone is encumbering you would be good alongside that. and while on topic, @shockmicro.bsky.social told me recently about a cool idea for a shimmered encumbering stone that only lets you pick up more of whats already in your inventory

i had an evil terraria idea: placeable encumbering stones, with about the radius of a campfire or heart lantern. toggleable via wiring.
They would go great in some evil secret seeds :) echo coat them too :)

i dont think leaving discord is something im planning to do, but i think people should probably stop storing so much stuff on discord. including me.

i think ideally stat enchantments do still exist in minecraft but they're only like. a tiny bit. just buff the tool speed of every tool tier by a little bit... and nerf efficiency by a little bit. buff the durability of everything a little bit, and make unbreaking just a 1 level enchant

like, if there was just more consistent ways to get back what you've lost ... and yknow, more engaging ways (not inherently easier, but just like. something more fun, man)

tbh minecraft could use a lot of work in making the micro-actions feel nicer in general

im glad people are opening up to the potential in intentionally designing minecraft around impermanence. its hard, but it feels right. minecraft doesnt have permanent upgrades like skill trees or max life upgrades or anything, and its kind of... cool for that, yknow? it just needs work.

I love the idea of utilizing chiseled bookshelves to influence the table, personally. Maybe it'd be a bit too consistent, but it could be really fun to fill out your enchanting library and then have an easy way to get the enchants back

...and of course stat enchants should be addressed
