ok so i guess i made a mario game tier list with half decent thought put into it
i havent played most of these games in years atp. a solid decade for most actually

i normally like gameplay thats like "ah. okay. so if i want to do this then i need this, which means i need this, which means i need to find a way to do this... and so i need this and this. okay!"
big planning like that is how ive enjoyed tech modpacks in the past
or even. terraria sometimes? sdv?

because alas i cannot pick between overscoping into gigantic ideas ... or just not really doing anything.

in survival i think ive only ever felt the latter. which. because that just creates a bunch of chores, instead of gathering materials just being something you do... and then decide to use. well, the chores make it a lot more stressful and i overscope and i decide not to build anything

oh right. yknow. someone made me ponder.. about like, the two styles of minecraft survival building. the classic style of "hm, lets see what i can make with what i have access to here" vs the more modern "okay i have a clear plan, i need to go grocery shopping to fulfill my material quota"

if i made a minecraft modpack i would remove the deep dark despite having cool ideas on expanding on it lorewise. because you cannot fix the warden with a few tweaks.

the levels are so SHORT and spend ZERO time on fluff and yknow i kinda like fluff in my mario

the levels use all their gimmicks so fast and its just. overstimulation bam bam done. no more of that gimmick. they dont spend time milking a gimmick i guess, sure, but they also . really dont keep anything that long. moving on from idea to idea to idea. it loops around from soulful to feeling empty
