With all my prior posts in mind. Good for Astro Bot winning the game award that they won. It seems to line up with what a lot of people liked. I hope the dev team are treated well and not subject to the kind of poor treatment other parts of the industry have received. Back to 5+ yr old games for me.

So I try to not care what people I don't know like it dislike to the level of an awards ceremony. Good for them.
This goes wrong when someone I care about, cares about an award result.
I care about what they care about by proxy, and get dragged into something I was trying to avoid. 4/?

The real fact is, you like what you like, and sometimes you might like to talk to someone else who likes the same thing. An award for them doesn't affect me and most award voting/winners has some element where the public aren't the deciding factor, sometimes not even at all *cough*Oscar's*cough* 3/?

If I like the game and it gets an award and I like that, I feel something akin to vindication. Others like what I like. That's fine. But in my mind that means, if that's true, other people not liking what I like, is a bad thing. That's not true, but that's the only meaning I can extract from it. 2/?

I don't do well with award ceremonies of any kind. I don't ever dislike any award winner for the most part, I just can't enjoy it. Whether I like or dislike a game, I can only give it a "good for them", any more than that and I'm giving in to a bias. 1/?

What if I started to use my blue sky, like I used my former Tumblr, for short blogging. I only plan to allow follows from close friends anyway. As I approach my late 30s, I feel the need to vent somewhere inconsequential.
