I am seriously, seriously wondering how many GOP politicians are doing a very careful calculus on their political future right now. They're facing a no-win scenario, and have to choose the path of least damage. If they don't, things will be far worse for them, and for all of us.

If you think the global leadership didn't know this would happen, you're naive.

Two known war criminals, with warrants for their arrests, have now expanded their wars.

They all knew.

They did nothing to prevent this.

The American government is the worst of it, as far as complicity.
Shameful.

If you’re roughly my age, it’s wild to reflect on the optimism for the future Americans felt when Obama was elected — young Americans spontaneously took to the streets to celebrate! — and contrast with what we face today. The falloff over the past 18 years is hard to process.
