We really failed as a society when we let pussies run with the narrative that if you knocked the shit out of them, you were a bad person, couldn’t use your words, or have no self control.

“It could always be worse” has always been such a horrible attempt at comforting someone, to me.

I’m aware it could be worse, but that doesn’t make what I’m going through any less bad.

Also, using people who are experiencing “worse” as a starting benchmark for gratitude seems… backwards.
