I have to fight to remember I want to thrive.

But they don’t last long. Unlike my depressive episodes that feel never ending and I have to actively seek out reasons for the floor to not swallow me up.

And when I’m in a mixed state I’m bombarded by all the what ifs of what life would look like if I wasn’t broken. If I’m too much work.

Sometimes I forget how disabled I am being bipolar. A manic episode feels like I’m constantly playing Jekyll and Hyde because my elevated mood can flip into irritation and rage and I have to fight my intrusive thoughts and force myself to believe I’m a good person.

I usually get taro or Thai tea, occasionally honeydew. I’m always down to experiment.

I do, but I don’t get it very often. Because of the texture I prefer fruity flavors like strawberry or coconut.

I know it’s difficult right now, but I insist that you seek and enjoy beautiful things, even if it seems frivolous or irresponsible in the face of overwhelming horror. I want you to feed yourself artistically, spiritually, and literally, because you can’t Do The Work when you’re starving.

Also side note: I think if you’re planning on handling children (whether as a parent or a teacher), if you’re not prepared for a neurodivergent/queer/disabled/etc. kid… don’t be in charge of children!

that this teacher made a comment essentially saying that it didn’t matter if you had ADHD or whatnot, you are being rude and disruptive if you’re fidgeting and need to focus better. My sister’s gut reaction is taking it to the counselor. I don’t know when, but she is and I’m proud of my kiddo.

Every time I worry about my sister, she tells me stories and I know she’s going to be just fine. The anecdote of the day: she has a teacher that she’s not very fond of (for good reason). This teacher is actively misgendering and deadnaming a kid who’d recently come out and yesterday she told me—
