Kate is holding onto Tess the entire time that’s she’s asleep and is even softly humming to her as she knows that it will help keep her calm. She’s also listening out for the twins who seem to be asleep.

That’s when Kate would close her own eyes for a few minutes but also falls asleep herself.

“Well she might but she probably cries cause she doesn’t want you all to worry. It’s perfectly understandable for a grown up to want to cry in the safety of her own bedroom.”

Kate is going to bring some more fruit over to Ellie now and is placing it next to her so she can it onto the weetabix.

Kate is going to frown softly to what Ruby is saying and is now carefully going to lead Ruby over to the couch and sit her down with a faint frown gracing her features.

“What do you mean Carla didn’t want to keep you? That’s a little bit odd cause from what I seen she absolutely adores you.”

“No it’s okay I can handle them I promise you. I was a single mum for most of Gordon’s life so I can assure you that the twins will not be an issue at all. Please go and rest darling and it shall all be okay.”

Kate is going to smile now as she’s glancing down at Tess whilst cradling her closer.

Kate is going to nod her head softly to the idea of doing a small food shop for some stuff for Persephone especially since she can imagine that the homesickness is getting to her a little bit now.

“Of course we can. I can imagine she’s quite missing home now that she’s expecting a baby again.”

“Ruby. Carla adopted you because of how much she adored you and that is the best thing she ever could have given to you. Don’t you dare feel like you are not enough okay? Because you are enough with or without your birth mum.”

Kate is now going to pull Ruby into a hug and carefully holds her close

Kate’s going to shake her head almost immediately and places a gentle hand against Ruby’s shoulder before finally moving to pull her into a hug. The last thing Kate wanted was for Ruby to feel embarrassed.

“Don’t feel embarrassed. You just caught me off guard but why did you call me Mum Ruby?”

Kate is going to smile softly at Ellie with her soon moving around the kitchen to prepare her own cereal before finally sitting down at the table near her and just smiles at Ellie.

“You know I was wondering if you wanted to come food shopping with me so you can take a few things back home.”

“You should really rest for a while Tess. Nobody is going to judge you I promise my darling and if they do then they will have to answer to me okay? Please just rest.”

Kate’s now glancing over at Tess before pressing a soft kiss against the top of her forehead once again.

“You want the oat milk? Alright I’ll give you oak milk but if you don’t like it then that’s okay too Ellie cause I would not force you to have the milk if you don’t like it.”

Kate is now going to put the oat milk into the bowl with the weetabix before adding the fruit and passes it over to Ellie.

Kate is going to frown a little bit when she hears Ruby calling her mum and does pull her away for just a second with her hands still resting against her shoulder.

“Mum? Ruby are you feeling alright? Ruby, Carla is your mum remember? You speak so much about her and she’s been in Unit before.”

“I’m sure that she will love it Ruby. I mean it’s really just a classic dress really don’t you agree? And besides if you’re not fully sure then you can see what kind of dresses I have.”

Kate is stepping back now as she’s now going to look at Ruby once again and smiles softly at her.

“Of course you can dear. How about I make your favourite squash cause that is what it’s called darling. What kind of fruit would you like to have Ellie?”

Kate is now moving into the kitchen and begins to start preparing her bowl with the weetabix whilst glancing at Ellie once again.

Kate is now going to pull Tess into her arms and begins to gently rub her back in a bid to comfort her wife.

Kate is going to let out a soft chuckle with her attention on Ruby once again as she’s now moving to help adjust the dress against her body.

“Well this looks wonderful don’t you think? Yes I think with the right adjustment you shall look absolutely amazing Ruby.”

“Well we could do that but we could also hire a sitter or something to watch over the kids when we want to have some private time. I think that would be a good idea don’t you think?”

Kate is going to give Tess’s hand a gentle squeeze whilst glancing back over at her once again and smiles softly.

“It’s 9 AM Ellie but you’re almost right about the time. Alright shall we go and make breakfast together? We can have your favourite breakfast and you can watch Bluey.”

Kate is going to get out of the bed now and carefully guide Ellie down the stairs to the living room and gives her the remote

“I think we did why? What’s making you question whenever we make the right choice or not? What’s going on darling you don’t usually end up doubting our children unless something is wrong.”

Kate is now taking Tess’s hand into her own and simply presses a kiss to the back of her hands again.

Kate would wake up just shortly after Ellie with her soon letting out a soft groan and would sit up slowly whilst removing some of the hair from out of her face.

“What time is it? Good morning Ellie did you sleep alright? I hadn’t even realised I slept here last night dear.”

“Exactly. You know many people this day and age anyways don’t want children and we can’t blame them either. My eldest doesn’t have children.”

Kate is going to nod her head softly as she’s soon placing her hand against her hips and looks at Tess once again.

Kate is going to let out another chuckle as she can’t believe that this is something Tess is thinking about as she’s now wrapping her arms tighter around her wife’s waist.

“You know what I think that’s a good future darling but I know we shall spoil them rotten too I hope.”

Kate is going to let out a soft sigh as she’s now holding onto Ellie but knows she can’t move at all and is stuck to the bed. Instead, she’s shifting so that she’s laying in the bed and closes her own eyes.

Kate would immediately fall asleep with her chin resting against the top of Ellie’s head.

“Oh don’t say that I don’t think I’m going to be ready for their teen years to be honest with you. The whole thought of them becoming teens is already rather terrifying.”

Kate is going to let out a soft chuckle as she’s wrapping her arms around Tess once again and smiles at her.

“Oh yes she said about you two spending one on one time together. I think she enjoyed it as much as you did Ellie and you should ask your mum if you can have one on one time more often with her.”

Kate is going to smile at Ellie once again as she’s now going back to reading the book softly to Ellie.

Kate is going to let out a faint chuckle as she’s nodding her head softly in agreement to what Tess is saying about them crying at their twins wedding and their first day of school.

“You know I think that’s true. We are going to be crying at a lot of first don’t you agree my love?”

“Well that is quite adorable cause I’m actually quite sure that your mum actually gave you Bingo. I wanted her to be the one who would give it to you.”

Kate is now going to start reading the book to Ellie but is also checking to make sure that she’s doing alright at the same time.
