USian here who’s been trying to figure it out for decades. They’ve been horrid, selfish, and heartless all along, but the absolute lack of any trace of morals is beyond my ability to sort out.

The best thing they did in the last few years was to make a point of contracting with Black-owned businesses to help them grow and get national exposure post-GFloyd. There were some excellent new products! And they killed that with their anti-DEI mess.

The store near me was one of the first opened (in MN). Serious quality slide over the last couple of decades (same penny-chasing garbage as other public cos like Macys) but they never really came back from the pandemic. Still lots of empty shelves in 2024.
