Long story short, she becomes so grief stricken and delusional, she creates a demented fantasy for herself just to cope with losing the only person she's ever allowed herself to fall in love with, and becomes a husk of the good person she used to be. (3/3)

After the Netherbrain is defeated, she steals the Necromany of Thay and the Tharchiate Codex, disappearing entirely for several years before reappearing later on as a lich.

She goes on to kill everyone she loves and raises them as undead so she'll never lose them again. (2/3)

Worst case scenario for Willow is Gale going through with blowing himself up.

She already believes the women in her family are cursed to lose their lovers, so Gale going boom just proves her fear right and it drives her into madness.

There are many traditions revolving around women's hair in Willow's tribe, and due to her being an unmarried young woman, her hair remains in long braids throughout the game.
