I get that gaming has become more and more expensive now, and believe me, I sorely wish it wasn’t, but to hope for things to just stay on the Switch 1 would not only stale the console even further, but obsolete the point of a stronger-powered, more refined system altogether

Seeing people complain about needing a Switch 2 to play new games, esp the Pokémon ones, and I’m sitting here thinking “… Yeah? The Switch 1 just turned 9 years old today”

That thing’s virtually ancient by tech standards; atp Switch games are gonna need the stronger power the new hardware provides

I moved my TV and its stand out of my room to make space for the desk, but tbh I'm way more okay with that since now I have to commit myself to get out of bed to watch TV or play video games instead of just grabbing my remote and controller from the nightstand

Hopefully this builds healthier habits

It feels so much more natural to have my setup in my own room than left out in the upstairs den

I also changed out my plastic flimsy nightstand with a more sturdy one and having it right next to my desk just feels... right

I'm glad that it looks like the show is starting to pick up not on just the pace but the stakes too. I hope it keeps going in this direction while making sure the silliness and cuteness doesn't go away either

The bus arc was the other highlight; seeing characters that but heads work together to protect their peers was equal parts satisfying and hilarious, and seeing in the end that it pushed the objective was the cherry on top. I don't have much to say about the other arcs other that they were nice too

His backstory also serves to really show what he's working to prevent thru Operation Strix. It gives viewers a clear visual of the worst-case scenario should he fail his mission contextualizes the true weight Twilight has on his shoulders

Season 3 thankfully focused a lot more on the goal without sacrificing the character moments we come to love from this show. Not just that, we also get to see way more intrapersonal development too. Twilight was the star there; his backstory was one of the biggest highlights in the season to me

2) Spy X Family Season 3

I'm kind of glad that Season 3 seems to be picking up more with the pace of things. While Season 2 was full of adorable moments, I felt like the pacing for the main objective of Operation Strix crawled to a near-complete halt, and it almost felt like watching filler

Still, I think the story told is beautiful (when you can understand it) and the relationship Creasy has with Pita is nothing short of heartfelt. If you can get past the editing and effects, this is a really good watch

It happens to even simple actions like picking up a paper with important info written on it. It feels like so much of the scene is lost that five seconds later, the movie practically shouts out loud what happened in the past scene to make sure the audience understands, which I feel ruins immersion

It's too bad that you can't tell what's going on because so many high-energy scenes are obscured by perspective shifts, flash filters, and more. While it's supposed to represent the frantic energy of the situation on screen, it blocks the action and removes any sort of clarity from what's happening

1) Man on Fire

What a beautiful story that I unfortunately feel suffers immensely from questionable post-production editing decisions. The movie takes its time to build relationships with characters before the second half conflict comes in, and it really helps you feel for what's going on
