Why isn't the media rousing the people?

No one is coming to save us.... it's too late. So tomorrow, I go figure out how to buy and use a handgun to have for my own personal protection.

No one can save us from ourselves, and half of America helped dig the grave. That's just the truth, I fear. I'm hoping part of that half at least come to their senses soon so we can find a way to dig ourselves out of it.

Is there a good list somewhere of all this? How do we prepare?

Well, given the long-term list, humankind may not be around to witness it. We're all just stuck in short-term hell.

Another thing I've done for the higher-level, complex items: Define several quarters out in a simple way (single slide).
For longer-term strategies with multiple steps, I have used a mind map and used coloring to define done /next / path to done.

I don't want to feel so helpless in this world right now ... they want us to feel hopeless. But what can I actively do that makes a difference?

Especially ones that plug in, are Sherpa, and have 4 heat settings.
All the animals in the house congregate on it when I turn it on.

My coping mechanism today was to play with MPC Beats all day.
Got the start of a new song and finished one. (And I am nowhere near a musician, but it's still fun and exercises a different area of the brain, so I'm okay with that.)

I cannot imagine having to be worried about this. I'm lucky. The next 4 years will be miserable for many of us, but at least I know leaving the US for me would be a voluntary choice.

Interesting idea.... a design-your-own-adventure game or sim.
There would need to be controls in place, but I like the idea.
I used to work in the game industry and remember when the bird flight suits first allowed us to capture human movement.

Unconventional maximum inbox approach. I don't even waste time deleting emails anymore.
I scan current date emails a couple of times daily. From a system? Skip unless it indicates a larger issue.
From my boss/project mgr/key vendor/colleague? Read it.
Anything else is noise or spam.

... and made it so difficult to replace the screen that I bought a $134 part last year and haven't had a two-week non-driving window to replace it. Requires loosening the console, gearshift, 4 trim pieces, then disassembling the entire extracted box.
Dealer wanted $1600 - I can see the motive here.

I'm a product manager and feel I couldn't do my job without SQL / Python / Jupyter notebooks / Looker / Powershell / Power BI. I don't have an analyst, so I had to learn how to gather data on my own vs. relying on others. I may be an exception here, but honestly it's my favorite part of the job!

It's easy .... today was Monday and tomorrow is Friday. :D
