Is it just me, or are the holidays both the loneliest and most joyful times simultaneously? How does that work?

It’s time for all the cheesy Hallmark and Netflix holiday romcoms, all the baking, all the nostalgia-ing, and none of the fucks.

Watching Our Little Secret on Netflix made me crave cookies (no spoilers, here!), so I made chocolate chip peppermint sugar cookies at 10:30pm 🤷🏻‍♀️🍪

I bought this gorgeous and incredibly soft Southern Living blanket at Dillard’s on Black Friday and Mustache has already decided it’s his.

Husband just got home from work (gotta keep those planes flying!) & I made a ham in the crock pot with brown sugar and pineapple, dressing with cranberries, sweet potato casserole, a corn soufflé, and a pumpkin pie! It’s just us, but we’re going to eat and watch the original Miracle on 34th Street!

I was reading a story — “The Reckoning” — by Edith Wharton where she uses the phrase “the mentally unemployed” and I’m going to use that to describe MAGA devotees from now on.

I’m watching the new episode of the new season of #Outlander and I’m not 5 minutes in and I’m already emotional 🥹

I’m thinking of taking my writing in a new direction and by new direction, I mean a totally different genre (not to skip out on my poems or nonfiction essays and reviews).

Any guesses?

A bathroom is a bathroom. There are stalls with locks. Sinks. Mirrors for lipstick touch ups. Hand dryers.

The end. Quit policing what’s under someone’s skirt and lock the door and do your business.

We should be more worried that people are washing their hands.

I have three people in my larger orbit that are trans and let me tell you — I’d rather be in a stall next to them than a MAGA any day of the week.
