The key to effective civil disobedience is stoic acceptance of/submission to the consequences of one’s disobedience inflicted at the hands of the corrupt power. I don’t see a lot of taste for that kind of passive sacrifice in today’s protest movements. Do you?

I lived with a federal prosecutor for years and one of my best friends was the U.S. Attorney for one of the largest offices in the country. I’ve seen up close what it takes to put a case before a federal grand jury. These people think indictments magically appear. They don’t. It’s a lot of work.
