The most salient thing about Senator Mullin would seem to be his endorsement of the Big Lie about the 2020 election. That should certainly come up in hearings about running an organization that Trump allies (improperly) associate with elections.

Moreover, she’s proved herself to be anti-union. Has vetoed 4 pro-union/pro-worker bills.

What matters more for me is the substance of those bills and the extent to which they reflect progressive values. That requires more progressive votes. Mills has not even bothered to release a platform. You’re free of course to not trust Platner on his, but at least he’s on record.

TBF, the goalposts have certainly moved the last 30 years on what constitutes shameful behavior that one must publicly acknowledge and pay consequences. I think that’s great. In point of fact though, every attorney general in the country was so dedicated. All 50 states and DC sued the drug companies and got settlements. I have no doubt though that she’s a dedicated public official and surely has several Maine-specific accomplishments.

I would urge you to listen to David Remnick’s and the pod save America interviews. I have taught election campaign management and planning and have run campaigns. This guy definitely knows how to run a campaign effectively and how to do it the right way.
