Bravo to Dr David Eckel for completing his PhD at Swinburne University of Technology!! It was an honour to co-supervise his research alongside Prof Glen Bates and A/Prof Steve Theiler. His research stretched my thinking in wonderfully unexpected ways, and I am grateful for all he has taught me.

The news that on 31 January 2025 the Trump administration instructed scientists employed by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to withdraw or retract articles from medical and sci...
"It is egregious that a countryβs public health agency, or any government authority, should demand the erasure of any terminology, particularly medically relevant terminology."
This is censorship of scientists.
This dehumanises millions of individuals.
We must resist.
