Soullink is another nuzlocke type where you instead team up with someone. Your encounters get linked, so if one dies, so does the other. If one doesn't catch their encounter, the other can't catch/keep theirs either

Depends on how you wanna shape it. I'd personally see how many mons we bring to the fight (1 for the 1st gym, 2 for 2nd and just 3 after that) and then the winner can choose 1 to get rid of from the loser, something like that

That way, you're forced to think about who to bring to the fight

I looked up what the original rule set was. So in a cagelocke, you cannot give your mons items to hold or teach them TMs. If you win, you can give one of your mons one of those boons

There's more nuance to it, but that's the basics a bit further explained :3
