I get self conscious sometimes cuz my sketches are very simple (I've never been one to crowd a ton of sketches on a page even as a kid) but it's nice to zone out and focus on something in a physical medium 😊 pencil sketching is a comfort to me lol

You don’t really need a budget to do indie animation, the problem is “indie animation” has been reduced to bigger budget/studio works with insane frame-by-frame animation, a big crew/voice cast and a merch line instead of scrappy shit you make in a week by yourself or with some friends in Flash.

That second one oof 😭😭😭 making a comic to teach people about your ocs only to realize you have to market and pitch your ocs in order to get ppl to read a comic is TOUGH 🫠 esp if you're a slow artist/don't have time to make a ton of art lol

I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.
