Jacinta Price has lashed & accused the ABC of not providing enough coverage on the assassination of Far Right advocate Charlie Kirk. Takes issue with ABC referring to him as a “Far Right advocate”

Pfft. ABC wouldn’t shut up about Kirk. And yes Jacinta, he’s far right, like you. #Estimates

The person who killed members of the Mormon church was not a Mormon.

Journalists taking Trump at face value are too gullible for words Gullible journalism helped Trump turn Project 2025 into a living nightmare for America.

Before the election when Democrats tried to warn voters Trump would implement Project 2025, mainstream journalists helped Trump pour water on these warnings, even criticising Dems for highlighting it. Now, Trump admits Project 2025 is his agenda. My analysis:

I am telling that to the people who raised the money. Revolting that the perpetrator's family raised so much more than the victims. As I posted - what is wrong with America?

Every cent should go to the victims. People who have money to give should give whatever they can to the victims. Zero sympathy for the hateful family the perpetrator was raised and fermented in.

The article says the gunman’s family raised $300,000 and the other victims a far smaller sum. Do you honestly not find it surprising that the gunman’s family received ten times as much money (sympathy) than the victims? One of the victims is six years old.

05.10.2025 22:40 — 👍 2    🔁 0    💬 0    📌 0

One of the victims was 6. Fundraising for the victims’ families was far less successful than the fundraising for the perp. How is this OK? The community has shown up for the perp ten times more than the victims. Unbelievable.

It’s incredible to me how a white, Trump supporting gunman gets more sympathy than his victims. He’s a psychopathic, evil murderer who came from a family whose overriding ideology was one of hatred and abuse. My only sympathy is for those he murdered.

Why did the victims get $10,000s and the perpetrator’s family get $300,000?

The media trots out the "deplorable" comment from a decade ago to castigate the left. Once a week now Trump implies that the military should destroy democrats, and it is just how things are.

Doesn’t explain the lesser empathy for the actual victims.

Latter-day Saints church member raises more than $300,000 for family of gunman in deadly Michigan chapel attack David Butler, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is raising money for the family of a man who allegedly attacked a Michigan chapel.

Something is very wrong with America. A crowdsourcing campaign has raised more money for the family of the murderer who killed churchgoers, than the families of those murdered. Honestly, how can you even start to explain this?

No idea why he would target a church, or why a specific niche religion. It’s all just unexplainable hatefulness, legitimised and normalised by the hateful MAGA movement.

If he was MAGA as it appears he is by his yard sign and social media posts, hateful ideology is who is he is. The normalisation of hatefulness amongst MAGA has radicalised millions.

This might be true but the general trend of calling mass murderers nice & quiet tends to only occur when the suspect is white. It’s a way of disbelieving hateful ideology is an ever present danger - lives next door. He’s just proved he’s not a nice man but they say he is because he’s just like them.

“He was such a nice man. A quiet, family man” they say moments after he has driven his flag adorned ute into a church and indiscriminately shot an assault rifle at hundreds of people including children, then set fire to the building. Yeah, seemed like a great guy! 😳

The World Goes to Hell On Trump at the UN and the death of liberal internationalism

As usual, the most insightful insights about Trump’s unhinged UN speech can be found on Substack, not in the mainstream media. Mainstream media are contributing to the fall of American democracy by standing by and treating authoritarianism like it is unremarkable.

Fact-Checking Trump’s U.N. Speech

When are we going to have a proper conversation about the scale and magnitude of Trump’s compulsive lying? Fact checking is fine, but when is media collectively going to say “it’s a major problem for democracy that Trump constantly lies”? A well overdue discussion!

Sky News Australia staffer helped arrange bacon on guest’s shirt before offensive anti-Islam interview UK-based influencer Ryan Williams posts friendly interaction with staffer revealing how much News Corp knew about the content before the segment

News Corp should make an apology to Australian Muslim community. Not only did they platform an offensive guest who set out to attack Islam, but it has now been revealed that a Sky News staffer helped put the bacon on the guest’s shirt. Sky News should be ashamed.

Six days ago, the Trump administration strong-armed ABC and Disney into suspending Jimmy Kimmel.

Thousands of Americans spoke out to protest this blatant attack on free speech, and now Kimmel will return to television tomorrow.

Never doubt the power of collective action.

Will Jimmy Kimmel be allowed to say whatever he wants about Trump whenever he wants? Or will he be censored whenever Trump makes an angry call to his billionaire media mates? Disney is now known for this attack on free speech. Trust is quickly lost and takes a long time to recover - if it ever does.

Sky News Australia admits editorial failure after guest insults Islam while wearing bacon-covered shirt Host Freya Leach sat silently while Ryan Williams called Muslims terrorists and explained he ‘wore’ bacon to protect himself from alleged threats of beheading

Sky News deliberately chose this offensive guest because he is offensive. They can hardly claim it was a mistake - after they platformed his offensive, hateful attack on Muslim people - when they quite purposely put him on air. Shameful.
