10.12.2025 23:46 — 👍 2 🔁 1 💬 1 📌 0Even without the...off-ness, it seems a bit weird to be mass-producing such a personalised design. Like it's one thing to have a signature shape or colour or whatever, but the same writing and stickers? That's a bit odd, man
10.12.2025 03:35 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0For the first time in my adult life I'm taking off the entire 6 week Christmas holiday period (this is the standard school break in Australia)
There are so many "holiday jobs" I've been waiting to do, plus lots of family and rest time--I look forward to not achieving half of what I planned 😅
When you fuckers gonna figure this shit out.

If anyone is looking for an experienced character technical director for video games, I know a guy (it's me).
This T-Rex animation was a demo I did for an online course several years ago; it illustrates my process at the time. I go to spline early and work within the graph editor to refine the basic offsets and weight within the body before adding details on top. 🎬🦖

Wow, this is a great trip down memory lane...I was in high-school in the early 2000s and was *obsessed* with these stick fight sequences.
I've never thought about it this way but they probably contributed to me becoming an animator. Thanks Mr Zhu!
Congrats!

31.10.2025 07:06 — 👍 21 🔁 2 💬 0 📌 0Ken Harris showing Richard Williams his gameplay animation. He's saying, "It doesn't look like much right now but this will be applied in an additive blendspace to the upper-body only, on top of the base player locomotion."
Old school animators often had to wait days to get their work shot to see how it worked in motion, so they learned how to predict how it would look
In some ways gameplay animation is an evolution of this: we often create animation out of context and are thinking ahead about how it will work in game
I read this as "Kinda feel like resurrecting my dead dog" 😮
