I bought a painting box at a flea market in Cayeux-sur-Mer. It had belonged to the father of the olderly lady selling it. And she had used it, too. A nice story attached to the object.

Flood refugees at mealtime at the red Cross camp, Forrest City, Arkansas. The great flood of 1937 displaced around a million people across the length of the Ohio River. It was one of the worst floods in American history. Some places never recovered. Oil on canvas, 30x40 inches, 2023.
