Yea context seems to be lost sometimes or people bring their own assumptions into it.

#HotelAccessibility unpopular opinion, but we need adjustable bed heights or wider desks in accessible rooms.

Low beds are a necessity for self-transfers. But they're horrible for me to get dressed on. I used to use desks as change tables tbh, but they're too narrow "sleek" now.

I need to channel my instantly-frustrated-reaction to digital inaccessibility (from outside and within the disabled community) into something useful 🤔 #DigitalAccessibility

And thank you! It actually sparked a lot in how I want to move with this and it's been super helpful actually. If and when the project picks up I hope to absorb all of this and continue to check and reflect as I go.

At first I fixated on the lack of transparency part but that was the information shared so I understand and see the care you put into it! ❤️ In fact "friction" in absorbing the critique is imperative to my work. So I appreciate that AND the article for always putting in the care.

The critique of feedback methods was enlightening. If you have the space I'd love to chat/learn better practices in my practice.

I really loved this article and the work behind it. The Disability Symbol is on pause but you've given me much to think about how/if to proceed (and discuss with my partner). Especially the way in which we gather feedback.

IT TRULY WAS. Also I have iLevel so I definitely had to adjust heights for each one I was in. The shocker was only one accessible door opener button was unreachable. So lucky someone else was there out of the elevator with me to open the door.

I was both thrilled and exhausted. Long story short I met my quota for pressing elevator buttons and shan't be doing it for another fortnight.

Yesterday I navigated the subway in Toronto completely solo thanks to the iLevel on my stormtrooper [wheelchair].
