I do have some I still go back to sometimes. While they're old, and I do far better quality-wise today, I still think they convey EXACTLY what I wanted at the time and I'm still proud of how they went. It's somehow harder to do the same today even with more tools.

I feel you're overreacting because you're pissed about your relic (understandable tho, pure rng without any pity system sucks). Eureka was absolutely not playable alone, OC is, and fates/critical are in majority not linked to required farm. It's still more convenient. And I like Eureka a lot too.
