Completely understand. There’s a bit of pressure to be “on brand” for an audience. But it kinds of kills creativity for me, so I try experiment and explore as much as I can. I hope you’ll post more of your other works sometime!

I think there will be a yearning for art. In a similar manner to how there’s a charm to 2D traditional and stop motion even in the age of 3D animation (not badmouthing 3D. I enjoy it too). But the more artists pull back the curtain and show the handmade process, the better.

Dale was my first animation teacher. Even years later I keep in mind the lessons I learned. Highly recommend checking out the stop motion knowledge on the See Learn YouTube channel.

Not sure if you want an alternative, but I saw an artist use a sweatband for wrists for this purpose. Absorbent and can be washed.

I built a new stop motion puppet. Anthea is an OC designed by @sheliloquy.bsky.social as part of her Enchanted Garden Sandbox project over on Cara. It has a wire armature throughout the body (including the wings). Stands about 7“ (18 cm) tall. #stopmotion #animation #needlefelting #puppet #art
