Yep, for me it's at the point where you have to laugh about it or you'll cry. Adult protective services have been contacted multiple times, the police were there a couple weeks ago and said they were reporting her home-health agency for neglect, but nothing is ever done. I can't really do anything 🤷

My aunt doesn't get to participate in anything anymore because she's housebound. Obese, can't walk, hoards, lives in filth in a chair. Paramedics constantly coming to pick her up off the floor and won't stay in a nursing home...

Yeah, I was given a set-up by one of my dad's coworkers in 2006 and kept fish for about 13 years. But the maintenance was hard to keep up with, our hard water complicated matters, and having pets you could only do so much for when they were sick was a lot.
