Here's hoping you're right. The unfortunate reality we need to contend with though, is that even when this administration is gone, there is still something deeply wrong with our American culture and society to have spawned and encouraged this.

If you like what you've seen from Sen. Cory Booker and other Democratic lawmakers this week, call and email their offices and let them know that. Evidence of public support gives lawmakers more clout with their colleagues to keep doing what they're doing. Constituent encouragement becomes influence.

Obviously civil disobedience is required in this moment. You know what else is? Some damn leadership. Inspiring dissidence when so many have been weak in their calls for it. Holding the floor is exactly what you want to see from an elected representative. We need PEOPLE to get up to be successful.

This is what I want to see from my representatives. More of this from more of them NOW.

It doesn't. Stating the entertainment part is misleading, I will give you that, but to dismiss that they have legally argued no one should expect facts is to insist on a bad faith argument and to die on the hill of pedanticism.
