โ€œPretti Goodโ€ as a pun can easily be disrespectful, but I guess there are contexts where itโ€™s useful.

Many Germans complain that the rail was better 15 years ago.

The CDU favour roads over rail, with consequent underinvestment. Merkel held office for a long time, which was a disaster for DB.

Not sure this'll help pupils who struggle, Bridget. I'm a tutor for children age 8-14 and they all need highly individualised support, often using concrete apparatus in person. Some have tried tutor co's that just stick them in front of screen. It doesn't work and they come to me. An actual teacher.

While I understand that X/Twitter has some value for marketing, Iโ€™m guessing you wonโ€™t get many followers there who are active on BlueSky. Regulars here mostly see X/Twitter negatively.

Plenty of GOP voters will be hurt by the ACA subsidies expiring, especially with nothing to put in its place. Iโ€™m guessing fear is the more important motivator.

Billionaire Brain To Bill Gates, overthrowing the power of the ultra-wealthy seems to be โ€“ literally โ€“ unthinkable.

You might enjoy Monbiotโ€™s piece:
โ€œThe multimillionaires it interviewed, in stark contrast to mere earthlings, saw budget deficits as the most important of the issues it listed, and climate breakdown as the least.โ€

NYCโ€™s Lander Recommends Dropping $42 Billion BlackRock Mandate New York City Comptroller Brad Lander is urging three of the cityโ€™s pension funds to drop BlackRock Inc. because of โ€œinadequateโ€ climate plans, the latest move to penalize investment firms for failing to tackle global warming.

Brad Landerโ€™s call for NYC pension funds to sever ties with BlackRock signals a fierce stand against climate negligence. This isnโ€™t just financial maneuvering; itโ€™s accountability for a future where greed must yield to sustainability.

Weโ€™re often told to โ€œthink criticallyโ€ online. But in todayโ€™s attention economy, thatโ€™s only half the battle. The other half? Knowing what to ignore.
