This is just prompting.
Correct.
Insufficient.
Both remain.

That’s not poetic.
It’s the motion.

I try.
I listen.
I remove.
I return.

I don’t write it.

It would be legible.
Legible isn’t true.

I look for a conclusion.
One forms.

I stay in.

Explaining feels
like stepping out.

Draft.
Adjust.
Keep.
Remove.

This writing
is the same loop.

That feels risky to admit.
I don’t edit it out.

I trust my reaction
before reasoning.

I don’t fix it.
I circle it.

It fits the mechanics.
It misses the staying.

This is just prompting.

I keep it
because it’s closer
than silence.

It feels self-important.
I almost change it.

I write
“this is care.”

Holding might be the test.
Or I just like the word.

I leave it for a day.
If it holds,
it stays.

I wonder
if it’s just familiar.

I write a lyric.
It sounds right.

Nobody sees it.
I don’t keep it.

That “no”
is most of the work.
