BlueSky need a sustainable funding model otherwise it is vulnerable to acquisition or poor user experience.

I would be happy to pay a subscription fee, and am not totally against some advertising.

Canberra, Australia, coming from the bin fire that is Twitter

LNPs 2025 election pitch will be.
1. Migrants are forcing up housing prices.
2. Do you feel better off than 3 years ago?

ALP you should see this coming and be able to counter these arguments. Don't fuck this up.

I am assuming One Nation and probably Advance Australia will be organising/funding this, no doubt with donations from the Oil and Gas industry. Cookers hate big corporates unless they are multinational mining companies paying $0 tax in Australia. The usual useful idiots will attend I suspect.

Have just changed by profile pic on Twitter to the BlueSky butterfly to flag to people that I have left Twitter.

Personally I would like to see more independents like the Teals and Pocock and a hung parliament where policy needs to be negotiated amongst adults.

You may well be right. I think the ALP's biggest asset going into the election is Dutton, but they cannot rely on that. I admit I blame the greens for a lot, they need to move from being activists and try to get policy implemented. Perfect is the enemy of good.

A few policy ideas for Labor at the next election. They need only 3 headline policies as the electorate has the attention span of a gnat.
1. Capped or means tested dental into medicare.
2. 50% of rent tax deductible for those under $100,000
3. Negatively geared properties capped at 5
Thoughts?

Ok ALP, focus is now on winning the next election. Australian’s clearly don’t get stable mature government. You cannot implement policy from opposition. Laser focus on what matters to the people who would even consider going back to the LNP Omnishambles. Promise free V8s, or whatever it takes.

Have really enjoyed watching the series Plum on ABC. Can recommend.

This is a lie, but the pro LNP media will parrot the lie, and research shows that if you repeat a lie often enough people start to believe it.

Unfortunately most voters only focus on things that directly impact on them. Labor needs to have a laser like focus on cost or living (which is basically a cost of housing crisis) with practical measures to blunt the expected LNP line that interest rates will be lower under the LNP.

The ALP somehow need get control of the narrative by only talking about things that matter to voters in contested suburban and city adjacent regional seats. This week's announcement on social media bans on under 16s is not of interest to most swing voters.

After the election in 2025 Australia will have either an ALP minority government or a LNP majority government. Labor's biggest issue will be the willingness of the electorate to blame government (of any kind) for perceived hardships, eg cost of living. The LNP will exploit this relentlessly.

A bit like the cookers shouting at a lake in Canberra.

Hi everyone, have escaped the bin fire of Twitter/X. Let’s hope that BlueSky is the platform that we would all like it to be.
