Learned something new. Ladybugs will cluster together because of an aggregation pheromone. This clustering behaviour protects the insects from predators while they are dormant. Have never seen so many in this way. #napavalleystatepark

Learned something new. Ladybugs will congregate to conserve resources. This was on a hike in a Napa park.
