Yes! This happened to me about 8 years ago and I still think about it and have often been intrigued as to why I was so completely repulsed and almost frightened by, um, some penne in a saucepan. I am so glad to read this poem!

Another pretty good one this week.

Dürer’s dream vision, a nightmare where giant waterspouts fell in slow and fast motion ‘accompanied by a noise and such a roaring wind that I woke up, trembling in every limb, and took a long time to get over it.’
