First I come across Misty Knight yesterday in Eddie Brock: Carnage, and now today in Jessica Jones: Blind Spot (what’s with all the colons?!).

Win-win.

Between this series and the current Knull effort, I’m definitely rethinking my relationship with symbiotes, and perhaps I’ll delve into the King in Black story that is referenced here.

Carnage (in a suit, tie, and hat, with a cane) and Eddie (sitting on a chair clad only in his boxer shorts) talk in the Below. Behind Carnage are pictures of various Marvel characters, including Silver Surfer, Bullseye, Hela, Galactus, Phoenix, Venom, and Elektra/Daredevil.

…how Carnage works as a symbiote, but the struggle with Eddie is fascinating. Eddie is smart in how he counters Carnage, particularly into revealing the location of the kidnapped plane passengers. The setup for the next arc was good, and I already have Vol 2 on order with my LCS.

Much to my surprise, I thoroughly enjoyed Eddie Brock: Carnage Volume 1, Killing Me.

It was a little violent/bloody in places, but the interplay between Eddie and Carnage was handled adroitly by Charles Soule. The scenes in The Under were particularly effective.

I’m not sure I fully understand…

These challenges are both fun and educational. Love them!
