Completed my first Any% run of Screaming Head today. I finished in just over 1 hour, but there were many mistakes along the way. I’m excited to see how fast I can complete a run.

SUB 3 ALL SUPERBOSSES IN EXPEDITION 33!!!

JUST BARELY by 4 seconds. This run was nerve racking in the last 10 minutes because I was doing a challenge to get sub 3 or gift 33 subs. It was just enough motivation to clear that hour barrier. Let's Go!

Save scumming is highly frowned upon. I swear, this game will spawn two different kinds of players: try-hards who refuse to leave mid-run to avoid any penalties, and content creators who want the challenge of the maximum penalty.

There really ought to be a grace period because life happens.

I played my first Blue Prince bingo today. I did okay, but my buddy Chupa smoked me. I’m definitely going to do a few of these.

This has been on my wish list for MONTHS! The game has a surprising amount of movement tech and apparently branching paths. If you scream too long you literally kill yourself. Need it!

I think there was another one called Zergling *something* (Madness? Arena? Blood?) where each player had a zergling spawning area that amassed zerglings very quickly. The center of the map was an open killing floor for them to battle. Kills => resources => champions. Overwhelm opponents to win.

Oceans Eleven

I’m a little late to the party, but I learned a rough version of the Blue Prince any% route today. Also I confessed to a GDQ crush and the feeling was mutual.

When I get sick sometimes I have awful fever dreams. My brain creates an unsolvable puzzle, which it also believes is the source of my nocturnal suffering. If I could just solve that puzzle in my sleep, I’d feel better, but it never does. Blue Prince is the closest game to evoke that feeling in me.

Miss you, Babs. You, and the rest of the night owls who enjoy late night conversations in quiet spaces at the event. You are 100% on the “needed more time” list.

That being said, if I barely spoke to you or missed you at this past GDQ, please know that I love you and I’m sorry we didn’t talk more. I hope to remedy that the next time we meet.

I’m finally feeling the #GDQ blues. It’s been over a week to come down off the high, and I only now realized that there are so many awesome friends to see at the event, and I feel like I saw so many, but there’s also so many that I’ve barely even said hi to or didn’t even get an opportunity to talk.

Played some Dinosaur Island tonight with some friends. It turns out that if your dinosaur theme park kills enough patrons, you probably won’t win the game. My park did have the most dinosaurs though, so that’s a plus.

A guy can dream. 🥹

On the subject of GDQ dreams, today’s was much nicer, as it wasn’t the recurring dream of being told that your run for Hollow Knight or Yoshi’s Island is suddenly today. (I’ve never run those games.)
