28 hours in, and only 6 runners are Out There. 1 has been Out There for a bit too long on loop 1. Oh, the stories (s)he could tell. This also means that the other one on loop 1 has returned. 1 is still out on loop 2. A lot of runners returned, more than previous years? Ideas? #bm100

Ultras focus on endurance, instead of power. That is why onder athletes are better. I once read a scientific article about this, but cannot find it anymore.

For Ultrarunners, age is usually an advantage. Our Belgian backyard monsters like Merijn Geerts and Frank Gielen aren't that young anymore.

You also want to run alone for a bit, in order to learn how to navigate on your own for loop 5. Runners have made the mistake (Damo even I think) to rely on others, and then tot lost on the last loop which they have to run alone.
