29.10.2025 16:36 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing? 2? Questions I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up. Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?
If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.

Seems like the Arkansas AG just doesn't believe in the first amendment to the US Constitution. Maybe he should have a different job if he feels his oath to the Constitution is too much to uphold.

09.07.2025 18:34 β π 7 π 3 π¬ 0 π 0Lawmakers in Utah are deploying every deception tactic in the book to convince Americans that turning federal lands over to states is in the nation's best interest. What they aren't saying is that they don't have the money to manage these lands, so they often get sold to for-profit companies.

On Thursday 5/8/2025, during the Joint Corporations, Elections, and Political Subdivision meeting in Lander, the Wyoming Secretary of State seems to believe that it's bad to have people register to vote.

Hereβs what RFK Jr. has done since a measles outbreak began which has killed 3 people so far:
1. Buried a CDC report showing need for vaccination
2. Recommended vitamin A, resulting in liver damage in kids
3. Defunded vaccination clinics nationally
4. Hired a fraud to manipulate vaccine data
The Governor vetoed HB64 - Ultrasound requirements for medication abortions. The House moved to override it. This was what I told the members of the House.

Last year, Wyoming was one of 15 states to opt out of USDA program that provides income qualified families with a debit card to supplement family food needs during summer months when school isn't in session.
A bill that would direct the state to participate in it advanced out of committee Thursday.
The Wyoming Senate voted 16-15 Thursday for a resolution demanding that Congress turn over some 30 million federal acres to the state.
The "equal footing" resolution insisted that land owned by all Americans, including Grand Teton National Park, be surrendered.
Quick update:
3rd reading on the supplemental budget is tomorrow - you can follow along on youtube here starting around 10-10:30AM until late in the night - www.youtube.com/@WyomingLegi...

And on Friday we will have "3rd Reading" to bring more amendments that reflect the priorities of the legislators that bring them.
Check out the supplemental budget and the amendments and votes here.

How do you navigate the supplemental budget? We work on a two year budget and on odd numbered years we "edit" the budget halfway through the 2 years. On Wednesday we had "2nd Reading" where we had the opportunity to bring amendments.

Rep. Neiman brings HB64 to have the state force transvaginal ultrasounds on women.
Yet another bill to get in the way of your freedoms and make it harder to raise a family as we scare away more doctors in our already lacking OB/GYN care around the state.

This bill requires folks to put their miscarriage in a plastic bag and carry it back to a healthcare provider. One of the most shameful things I've ever seen a bill force people to do.

Does 911 services have a way to determine if they are being called from someone deliberately obfuscating their calling location?
There should be a way to reduce swatting at the dispatcher level.
For @kenmartin.bsky.social and @benwikler.bsky.social, I'm not a DNC member.
I am interested in a party that has a vision for what the future of the country should look like, then understanding what policies will get us there.
Thanks,
Your friendly neighborhood state legislator.

05.12.2024 18:57 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0If we want to ensure US Steel is owned domestically, we will need industrial policy to support it similar to the CHIPS act. Not sure if the current Congress is willing to do that.

US Steel cannot compete even with 25% tariffs. Without an infusion of cash to replace it's current infrastructure with newer technologies that make steel production cheaper.
