i think The only reason people became so passionate over George, and Renee and Alex, was because people saw it. there's a reason that ICE and Israel both target journalists and videographers, why the media refused to show anything about gaza. I think if more people saw, more would be moved to act.

its not really the opposite. in both clips she's expressing awe at the power and the ability of the tech. in neither does she say she was against it or didn't want it to happen, nor expressed disgust at the tech. all she says here is that they need guardrails in case someone decides to go further.

and yeah, it always felt like the first run, premiere broadcasts of eps were a bit smoother as well.

keep in mind, i'm thinking of stuff like rosanne, or home improvement. not like CSI, or law and order. those types never seemed different between first run and rerun.

All the home video/HD digital releases I've seen from numerous old shows are closer to their rerun/syndication quality, which was always softer, more muted. Maybe star trek TOS remaster being an exception. but hard to compare that to 80's/90's sitcoms.
