2021. I’m on an island, exploring pedals, synths, keyboards, and improvs for hours. Some ideas ridiculous, some meaningful. Five islands, daily crossings, the project built itself.
Where creativity is alive, playful, honest.

Büyükada has its rulers, and they walk on four legs 🐾 Rooftops, streets, park benches - sometimes too friendly (love bites included). 🙃
On the island, I felt both small and lucky, moving through their world.

Princes' Islands matched my inner rhythm: quiet corners, slow mornings. Büyükada felt like home; I explored Heybeliada for different textures of calm. Strange enough, the same instinct took me to Egypt’s desert - learning to hear myself in unfamiliar places. 🏝

In Egypt I went from laughing at nothing to questioning my whole existence.
Then Istanbul hit like music after silence.
By the time I reached the island, the contrast had already rewritten something in me.

From Sultanahmet, Bosphorus felt like a threshold.
The island was close, but already a different world.

The rush, the noise… then the quiet you create for yourself.
Travel teaches small rituals for staying calm.
Different places, same clarity. 🧳✈

Some places reset you.
For me, it was the ferry - watching the Marmara fade and return.
A quiet loop from shore to shore.

On the island, the first thing you do is find yourself.
Usually by listening.
You take in its frequencies - past you carried, the now you’re standing in, future you stop chasing.
Follow trees, trails, wind - and the island starts revealing itself in layers.
That’s where the album began forming.

Arriving on Büyükada after Egypt - the noise stopped, and something quieter began.
I didn’t know what Cornershop Adaları would become, only that the island felt alive.
A mixtape between continents, made of air, sea, and sound.
