By far the Saturn V Mobile Launcher was my largest project. It's finally available on Rebrickable! Link in the comment.

Random things:
- I'm still waiting for Rebrickable for the approval of the Saturn V Apollo ML instructions. It's unusually long now.
- After 3 months it was about time to rebuild the Milkstool, right?
- I hope that at weekend I'll have time to work on the shelf for the ML's.

Thanks the feedback!

Ps.: it literally have everything: it's (relatively) large, three different kind of cone, a tiny spherical top, straight section, corrugated straight section, it should have an usable volume inside, but can be split 2-3-4 section (AFAIK NASA didn't had final decision), etc..

I write you a PM.

You can upload a file up to 512 Mb on RB. You have to upload it somewhere and it can be passed through to Rebrickable using an URL.

The largest part is 154 Mb is for this MOC. And I already have a 250+ Mb file. (Not surprisingly those were the 1:160 ML's).

While I'm waiting for Rebrickable, I went back to the enormous 12 m Ares V cargo fairing. I wanted to try a different approach to building the fairing. I'm not entirely convinced by the studs, and it's still very much a prototype. What are your thoughts?

I've done everything on my end - now it's up to Rebrickable.
Looks like there won't be auto-approval this time.

It's actually doable to build 3 within 3,5 weeks next to a daytime job, but... I can't say that rush was healthy. (It was worse than all my exam periods combined, lol.)

ML: 1761 pages (including covers and other pages), The last step number is 2733, 5493 steps if I unfold the callouts.
The rocket is 227 pages, last step number is 473 (847 total).

But TBH most of the complexity is come from the amount of details and the size.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have completion. The instructions and parts lists for the Saturn V Mobile Launcher are officially finished!

Next stop: Rebrickable.

I have to confess, after the exhibition I had a little post-project-depression. I'm mostly over it and in recent days I have continued to apply fixes to the instruction. I still have about a dozen items left, but the model is big and Studio is slow (and easy to mess up).

ps.: thanks to u/ah-screw-it for the Deathstar model.

Last week, I saw a Lego Death Star in a Lego shop. It's big, but… I think we all know what's more impressive in size.

I totally forgot to mention, but I’ll be at Kockafeszt again this year (Budapest, Hungary πŸ‡πŸ‡Ί), and I’m bringing 3 Saturn Mobile Launcher with me: fb.me/e/8hsNDsIU5

All that’s left is to finish 5 more levels and the rocket in the Skylab-1 configuration. It’s going to be a long night.

Progress of yesterday's test build. So far, it looks pretty good - just a couple of small errors to fix in the guide.

Deck 0 and the structure below aren’t connected yet. A few pieces from previous steps aren't arrived yet.

Okay, I went crazy and I ordered ~45k Lego bricks today. And I already had ~40% of the required bricks. I'll build all 3 Saturn ML (Apollo, Skylab-1, ASTP), the DIRECT MLP for Jupiter, a dozen Saturn I and IB (by Apollo 110 Bricks) and the OLM (by 0rig0).

In parallel I works on optimizing the plans in the queue. Like some parts was available for limited time, I try to find alternative for them (for example: red 60476 was sold between 2012-14, it is hard to get enough quantity). 2/2

What am I doing nowadays? First: I disassembled a bunch of old stuff and went through all of my part collection (probably more than 70k) to collect bricks for the projects what I want to build. I found about 26K from 64K what is my target for this year. 1/

As @nighthawk11991.bsky.social said once: this size is a centerpiece of your room. If you want something more manageable, something that actually fits on a shelf, then the 1:160 (Artemis I set scale) is a better choice. Here is a comparison:

02.10.2025 08:02 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Thank you! 1:110. And It's huge. In this configuration it's ~130x40x45 cm (51.5"x15.5"x17"). You can fold down the lightning mast then it's only ~118 cm (46.5"). With the fiberglass mast which was used on ASTP only (and later on Shuttle pad) it's ~142 cm (56").

It’s been a while since I posted about the Saturn Mobile Launchers. Recently made progress on the Milkstool and the Saturn IB ML modifications. Here’s where the project stands now.

Things are slowly starting to emerge from the garage. After almost two years, the Ares I ML is finally out in the open again. It needs a bit of minor refurbishment, but considering what it went through during the move and the two exhibitions, it’s in pretty much perfect condition.

Today I had a little time for CxP MTV. I worked on the bottom of the drop tank section and the Saddle Truss. I'm not fully convinced, but it's still more than yesterday. (Or two weeks ago). Also the house renovation is nearly complete, so finally I'll be able to move all Lego in.

Been busy with renovations last lately, barely had time for LEGO - and after a month of intense Saturn V ML instruction grinding, I kinda burned out. Finally had some time and energy to start adapting the ML for Skylab 1 (instead of continuing CxP MTV). Total "find the 3-pixel difference" game.
