I really can't overstate how amazing what's happening in Astoria is. We now have a mere 1 North/South protected bike lane, and 1 East/West lane through the neighborhood. (And a few more on the absolute edge that aren't as useful.) Even that bare minimum is enough to start provoking radical change.

It's amazing who uses protected bike lanes when you actually build them, instead of asking for complete community consensus first...

The next administration should round up everyone currently involved with ICE in any way. No trials, accusations, due process or any of that. Just round them up and deport them to some random country that has nothing to do with anything.

We need more LTNs and streets that divert cars away -- here's a great example from the LES that boosts business, and reduce traffic throughout the area.

Summer Streets are back, for another ridiculous display of how much better our streets could be.
