i think if you ride public transit enough you learn that most weird behavior is not dangerous, and conversely i think driving a car teaches you that everyone is trying to kill you at all times

Disability is dynamic

Some disabilities are invisible. Some change day to day

You won’t always know a person is disabled unless they tell you

It’s a minority group you can join at any time, not a moral failing.

I just see people punching down a lot instead of punching up. I know it's a lot easier to attack and blame those more vulnerable than you. Then to address the real issues and people making your life suck. Most of you just want to be part of those who are wealthy & hurting others.

Seeing people complain about poor people getting government assistance for food. Reminds me of when I wasn't really able to work much and relied on government assistance. I was literally dying and having surgery. But people decided to attack me to feel better about their lives.

SNAP benefits make it possible for the many disabled people (especially those who are multiply marginalized) relying on them to buy specific foods necessary to stay alive and stable. Food pantries/food banks often do not offer food reliably or at all that meets specific dietary requirements.

Last time I hunted for a job, it took me over 50 applications just to get an interview. That was long before my disabilities totally took me out of the game, but they were already affecting what jobs I could take.

38 million live below the GOVERNMENT DECLARED "poverty line," which is far lower than a humane society would measure it to be because the cost of living is So Damn High and the federal minimum wage hasn't risen in DECADES.
