The view outside of my window showing houses on my street is partially obscured by snow.

Yes, it's because there's a bush under the window. No, that doesn't help my brain feel any less depressed and alarmed that snow is eclipsing the view out of my windows.

That's rad. If it works and it's fun to play, that's what counts.

I learned about the vaccine while I had shingles...for the second time. I was told about it by a healthcare provider, who apparently was telling me about it just so I know I can't have it.

That was not great information to receive at the time.

Wake up. Make breakfast. Do email. Watch a murder. Go to a party for a 5 year old. Laugh with my daughter. See a different angle of that murder. Hear govt officials slander the victim. Play Barbies with my kid. Feed her dinner. Tear up at that victim reading last honors to a vet. Put kid to bed. USA

Yesterday was the 67th day of school for my daughter. Keep the school's teachers in your thoughts. They had themselves a day hearing about it from what I've been told.

This is a big get for DoorDash. It couldn't have been easy to win the title of "official seasonal second job of federal employees."

The season starts every Oct 1 for an indeterminate amount of time, and kicks back up in Dec and Jan in some years.

Have you seen them before? I presume first time with Emily? Good to hear you had a good time.

I love going to concerts by myself. Get there when I want. Stay until I want. Go where I want (if it's GA). Experience it without compromise (not forgetting, you know, social norms and being a decent human being).

What show did you see?

The world is full of unspeakable terrors and inexplicable suffering all the time, but hey, I got some new art on my wall to stare at to cope.

Thankfully none of the local zoos (as far as I know) subject elephants to the northeastern US climate.

That said, we did recently read a non-fiction book featuring so many pictures of elephants towering over adult human beings.

She's been to two in the last three months.

My daughter asked me if I weighed less than 2 adult elephants. She did not believe my answer. How's YOUR self-image doing today?
