The video wasn’t claiming to know more than Viv, it was literally just one artist sharing how they were taught and what they would’ve done differently. That’s not pretending to be an expert, that’s offering perspective. Wild how that’s suddenly a crime.

I’m not.. her taste isn’t the final word, just like Fountain’s isn’t. I’m pointing out that it’s misleading to frame someone’s harmless, good-faith video as an attack when they like the show and made redesigns for fun.

She literally said in the video the redesigns were just for fun and wouldn’t look like that if it were official. Viv doesn’t have to agree, but vagueposting to paint it as bad faith is misleading.

Sure, John Fountain’s opinion is valid, but art is subjective. Just because one industry pro likes her designs doesn’t mean everyone has to. Praise doesn’t erase criticism, and one person’s taste isn’t the final word.

Viv posts vague hints about being ‘attacked’ and then reacts like it’s a personal crisis, ignorance isn’t on the critic, it’s immature for a creator with a show on Amazon to treat feedback like an ambush instead of brushing it off like literally everyone else does.

Sure, skepticism is fair when something becomes trendy to critique but if you’re gonna vaguepost about a video, at least watch it first instead of assuming bad faith from someone who clearly liked the show and explained their intentions.

If Viv keeps getting 'attacked' for everything she says, maybe it’s because she keeps feeding the fire instead of ignoring harmless criticism like any other big creator who’s still making bank.

Real.. Context clues and basic research is a lost art sadly :( (I understand not wanting to watch a 3 hour video.. but cmon man- is it that hard to skim it and/or read the comments?)

Yeah! She even says she LIKES the show!! She admitted that her past designs were flawed and that she thought she could improve upon her work (which she made as a teen) she just picked hazbin hotel because it was the easiest example she could use to portray that.

The sarcasm is so polite thanks! But yeah- I might not but It’s heavily implied with the “3 hours”, there’s one video that recently came out that got very popular and is that long. Can’t read minds but I do know what context clues are.

To add on.. how about.. you just ignore it because quite honestly it’s sad that you’re this pissy over redesigns.

Hey so.. there’s a thing called “actually watching the video” because I know exactly what video you’re talking about and they’ve actually been in the industry! Also.. none of what they said was negative.. it was actual constructive criticism that doesn’t bash or insult your work.
