I genuinely can't tell if this is something people aren't talking about because they don't see it, or if they think bringing it up will bring legal consequences down upon them. I guess the leftist POV is that the FBI has always been compromised and right-wing. But gradations matter!

This bodes poorly for any left or liberal politician who'd campaign on punishing the Epstein class. I think the moderate belief is to see the FBI as professionals just following orders, but Trump clearly sees them as a politicized force, which despite his dementia, he's probably right about.

My understanding of the Epstein stuff is that it is a conspiracy of silence. By ordering the FBI to redact Trump's name, the agency becomes implicated, and those men, while believing themselves immune from consequences, will now act to maintain their impunity
