Using AI to serve inclusive education EUA - European University Association

Can #AI promote equity and inclusion in education? Certainly yes! Here are some examples well argued here by M McKenzie (S. Andrews) & E Spaeth ( @advancehe.bsky.social‬)

Thinking a lot about the future of #HigherEd, this is an important signal: a cancelled course being continued outside the context of the university:

The promise of AI in education is it will save educators time. That's rubbish. It's sapping all our time already in working groups, committees, workshops, and marking anxiety. It's the most time-sapping, exhausting and frankly boring thing I've ever encountered in HE - and it's in my research area.

Are #universities being taken over by the "analytics-industrial complex"? Maybe, but I think the author conflates actual developments and data company dreams and sales pitches.

Futures of AI in higher education – more might be less Over the last months, I have been involved in a number of deep discussions with higher education practitioners about the future of AI, some of these organised with colleagues at the European University Association others in the European Digital Education Hub guided by SURF futurist GΓΌl Akcaova. Quality and access are main concerns regarding #AI in #HigherEd - regulation is a solution, not a barrier
