The first set is on the lower left, the second set is on the upper right. The first set has 14 tubes, the second has 13. A free-standing black granite wall. The ends are vertical. The middle is slanted back about 15 degrees and slightly shorter than the ends. There are 3 jets of water visible in front of the wall. The fountain is not accessible, but visible from the street, so out of necessity the steel benches between the street and the fountain are included in the picture. Buildings on the South side of Chestnut Street are visible behind the fountain.

I once had a coworker with narcolepsy so he chose to live in NYC since it’s one of the few places in the US where most people can live without a car.

“The Habitable Skin,” is an insect bridge in Copenhagen’s Meatpacking District. It’s an art installation that’s interactive–for species other than humans. But it’s inviting us humans to envision a future where cities can live in better harmony with insects and animals to foster more biodiversity.

Two identical bike racks sticking up from round plates bolted to the sidewalk shot looking down and at an angle. Each consists of a yellow tube bent into slightly more than a semicircle. At ground level, under the yellow tube, attached to the left end of the yellow tube is a flat blue semicircle with the straight edge along the ground, a little less than half the height of the yellow tube and a little more than half the width. Attached at two points to the yellow tube is a purple tube bent into a a circle with the same diameter as the blue semicircle. The left side of the purple tube is attached at the top of the yellow tube and a point to the right of the bottom of the purple tube is attached to a point on the yellow tube along the right. Both racks cast shadows on the sidewalk.

Westbound shelter for the G (formerly the 15) on a traffic island between the tracks on the left and cars on the right. The picture is looking West at the green East wall of the shelter. There is a 3D elongated brown metal pyramid from the sidewalk to about 2/3 of the way up the wall. The tip is in front of a yellow teardrop shape with white metal feather forms radiating out and up to the bottom of the roof creating a very abstract peacock.

A glass representation of flame on top of a round, tapered down, base, on top of three long poles (maybe 6 feet) splayed slightly outward.
