We were proud to support The Strong Museum of Play’s Play Ball event on October 24th! Our partnership through the SELF at The Strong Program helps young people with autism gain valuable employment readiness skills through hands-on internships, classroom learning, and real-world business experiences.

Earlier this month, the Arc Advance Academy graduated cohort 10. This marks more than 100 people training with the new Arc Advance program so far. Congratulations to all recent hires!

Recently, Assemblymember Demond Meeks toured ArcWorks' contract manufacturing facility. During the visit, we showcased our manufacturing and packaging services, along with the opportunities we provide for people with IDD through employment and prevocational programs.

Today we celebrate one of our A Toast to The Arc honorees: Jen Kaukeinen of JK Leadership Consulting! We’re incredibly grateful for Jen Kaukeinen’s unwavering support and leadership throughout our strategic planning process.

Community Arts Connection held a Day of DSP Appreciation for their staff with a creative spin! Each DSP was made into a FunkoPop character and people supported shared favorite memories on each staff member’s piece of art.

The Arc of Monroe hosted September’s monthly meeting for the Arc Finger Lakes Collaborative HR team and Training team in our Arc Advance Academy last week. The groups were excited to see the new training space and learn more about The Arc of Monroe’s enhanced 3-week new hire orientation.

Brianna Stiner, Charis Happ, Mike Zazzara, Tara Paquette, Lionel Williams, and Sam Abraham were all in attendance, and Tara and Charis presented about how The Arc of Monroe is using Customized Employment to move people along the continuum of services toward employment.
