I love a counter or at least an island to separate the two. If I’m really feeling it, I can entertain while I cook, make a little chef’s table situation

Julian Brandt’s leaving Dortmund in the Summer, so I was looking at the MLS roster profiles to try to see which club would be the funniest for him to end up with after the World Cup. I’m now absolutely convinced that he’s going to join Tommy the Mule in Vancouver.

I’m probably in the upper quartile when it comes to positivity/optimism in the Sounders sphere, but I have a deep and powerful urge to create a Bingo Card of Pain for the upcoming CCC series against the Whitecaps.

The ways this could go bad are just so easily predictable.

A kind of funny scheduling thing I just noticed: Seattle and Vancouver have the same pair of opponents on the weekends following their CCC matches. VAN host Minnesota this weekend and SJ the following, and SEA visit SJ, then Minnesota.

There were a lot of things over many years, but as a teenager realizing that by the rules some of the kindest, most generous and loving people I knew would go to hell and the cruelest, most petty and vindictive people I knew would go to heaven pretty much locked it up.

Story also seems to confirm that the Sounders-Timbers game will be played on grass, as it says at least seven Sounders games.

And 3 of the 4 goals they’ve actually scored came with DeRo on the field, he was meaningfully involved in creating 2 of them, has had a couple decent chances of his own, and is much better in the air.

Watching some Whitecaps games to mentally prepare for Thursday’s CCC meeting, and it’s going to take a lot more than just this to advance but Schmetzer praised Nouhou for “90 minutes of concentration” after the St. Louis game. If he or any other defender gives anything less, we’re getting shredded.

I think there’s plenty of cause for frustration, and lack of service aside he certainly hasn’t made the starting 9 spot his own, but I think he’s done a lot of the non-putting the ball in the back of the net really well, and aside from 2 missed chances Musovski hasn’t been particularly good either.

That’s not what the graphic says

I think at least for the moment DeRo keeps starting in MLS and Musovski starts in CCC.

This is per 96, so his limited playing time is more of a benefit than a hindrance here, fwiw

We are gearing up for the 9:30 a.m. March 4th Court of Appeals #882520. Link to watch the hearing: https://tvw.org/video/division-1-court-of-appeals-2026031015/?eventID=2026031015

Meanwhile, the city is celebrating the passage of CB 121093, which nearly eliminates SEPA for the next 10+ years using the EIS we are appealing as the rubber stamp. The folks fighting Seattle's growth plan in the name of Puget Sound's orcas continue to promote anti-growth talking points.

Now they're citing the Michael Storper working paper modeling the effects of infill development as evidence "deregulation does not bring down the cost of housing."

Finally rewatching the last 30 mins of game I didn’t get to see live last night and this might be the worst announcer performance I’ve heard in awhile…

Wow, who would have guessed that moving the star young striker to accommodate 200 year-old Choupo-Moting would have negative repercussions

I think this also explains some moments that were a little frustrating from Brunell, who seemed to have opportunities to be more progressive either on the dribble or with a pass and instead opted for more conservative ball retention. I think he was playing to the plan in a new(-ish) position

The difference in box entries speaks to how efficient the Sounders were (relatively) versus how well they limited St. Louis
