The bill will be vetoed by Governor Kelly, overridden by the Legislature, and ultimately shut down by the Kansas courts at great expense to the taxpayers.

The bill originated in Humphries' Committee on the Judiciary unannounced, and wiggled through a process called a 'gut & go', hollowing out an existing bill to insert their hate bill. By doing so, Humphries passed this bill out of committee with no public notice or time for comment.
