I was just thinking about sudden horror moments in completely non horror games and that it used to be the trend with classic platformers, like horror segments in zelda. Also it seems that this old trend inspired a lot of modern indie horror games.

All this talk about piglet game and silent hill, reminded me that many children games of that era had those horror segments.
like "we created a cute colorful world that kids would enjoy", "great now make 1 level filled with horrors beyond their comprehension".
